How to Make Peanut Butter Fudge

Peanut Butter Fudge

I like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I like peanut butter cookies. I like nutter butter cookies. I like those peanut butter cheese crackers you get from the vending machine at the airport when you flight is delayed. I like asian peanut sauce. Do you see where this is headed? Yes, I like peanut butter fudge.

This is not my recipe, but now that I’m looking for where or when I first found this one I have no idea. When I search for fudge recipes I come across several sources with this ingredient list. Several from the larger food sites and some from fellow food bloggers. Now that I’m creating this article, I have no idea who to credit if credit is due. What I do know is that most of the articles I see lack the step-by-step photos of making this.

Maybe I need to ask my mother what recipe she used since my initial inspiration came from her. Our family has enjoyed plenty of fudge over the years. My mother has almost always made this during the holiday’s. I figured it was time for me to figure out how to make it.

This is another one of those recipes with an “ah ha moment” I had no idea how easy it is to make. I do recommend all-natural peanut butter for a suburb flavor and taste.

Here is how I make peanut butter fudge.

First gather all the ingredients.

Peanut Butter Fudge

Start by melting 1 cup (2 sticks) of unsalted butter.

Peanut Butter Fudge

Add 1 cup crunchy or creaming all natural peanut butter.

For this recipe I’m showing Smucker’s Creamy Natural Peanut Butter – 16 oz – 2 pk

Which we happen to like and trust.

Peanut Butter Fudge

Add 1 teaspoon vanilla.

Peanut Butter Fudge

Add 1 lb. powered sugar.

Peanut Butter Fudge

Mix until all the powered sugar is absorbed.

Peanut Butter Fudge

Pour into an 8 X 8 wax paper lined dish and spread out.

Peanut Butter Fudge

Place in the refrigerator and let cool for an hour before cutting.

Cut into desired size pieces.

Peanut Butter Fudge

Enjoy!
