How To Make Cinnamon Roasted Almonds

I don’t recall when our family discovered these but they are delicious. My mother usually makes these every few years or so during the holiday’s.

We purchase our Kirkland Signature Supreme Whole Almonds 3 Lbs. from our local Costco.

Apparently they are also available on Amazon.

I like plain almonds on my oatmeal, but sweetening them up with cinnamon and sugar adds a nice flavor.

Here is how I make cinnamon roasted almonds.

First gather all the ingredients.

How to make cinnamon almonds

Combine the dry ingredients.

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

How to make cinnamon almonds

Mix the dry ingredients until well combined.

Set aside the dry ingredients.

Combine the wet ingredients.

  • 1 egg white
  • 1 teaspoon cold water

Separate the yoke from the egg white.

Add 1 teaspoon cold water.

Whip until frothy.

Add the egg white water mixture to the 4 cups of almonds.

Mix the almonds until they are covered with the egg white mixture.

Now add the cinnamon sugar.

Mix the almonds until they are coated with the sugar cinnamon mixture.

Place the coated almonds on a parchment lined cookie sheet.

Cinnamon Almonds

Roast for a half hour at 250 degrees. Stir and roast for another half hour.

The finished product.

There is that toddler bandit again. At least he likes them. I caught him trying to get my pumpkin bread not too long ago.

Let cool for 15 minutes and enjoy!

Recipe found on the internet. Not sure who to credit as I’ve completely re-wrote and photographed all images displayed.

How To Make Cinnamon Roasted Almonds

Cinnamon roasted almonds. Inspiration from my mother. I’ve found this recipe several places and unsure who to credit. I’ve completely photographed and provided my own directions for this article.
Ingredients
  • 4 cups whole almonds
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 teaspoon cold water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
  1. Combine the sugar, cinnamon, salt.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients and set aside.
  3. Separate the egg white from the yoke.
  4. Add the water to the egg white, whip until frothy.
  5. Add the egg white mixture to the almonds, mixed until all the almonds are coated.
  6. Add the sugar mixture to the coated almonds and mix until coated again.
  7. Spread on a parchment lined cookie sheet.
  8. Bake at 250 degrees for 30 minutes.
  9. Stir them and bake them again for another 30 minutes.
  10. Let cool for 15 minutes and enjoy!
