For those of you who followed our last review of the RXBAR Nut Butter & Oats, you know the drill. Today, we are bringing our next review of the Chocolate Sea Salt and Blueberry RXBARS.

As you know, I work in a retail setting, and having a quick go-to energy burst is essential. When I’m tired of the traditional granola bars or other quick grab-and-go snacks, I like to mix things up with some RXBARS like these two. They are quick and easy, and they get me through my shift until I can get home to cook something more substantial.

The Costco Haul

Since I was at my local Costco, I figured I’d pick up a box of this variety pack. For me, the main benefit of these bars is that they are quick and hold my hunger just enough until the end of my shift. They’re simple to pack when I’m running out the door, and I’m thankful to have something easy to rely on.

The Cost: I paid $17.99 for the combo pack at Costco. It’s a solid price point for a high-protein snack that actually does its job.

(Note: If you aren’t near a Costco, you can also find these on Amazon. Start shopping and add them to your cart now!)

The Breakdown: Texture and Taste

Let’s be honest: these are not for everyone. They are chewy, thick, and—regardless of the flavor—they definitely have that signature sticky RXBAR texture.

However, it’s not a problem for me. In fact, it’s a nice change of pace from a traditional crunchy, flaky granola bar that usually ends up leaving crumbs all over my work vest.

The Flavors:

  • Chocolate Sea Salt: A classic for a reason. It hits that savory-sweet balance perfectly.

  • Blueberry: Surprisingly refreshing for a protein bar. It has a real fruit taste that stands out.

I’m delighted to have now tried all four of the major flavors: Honey Cinnamon and Dark Chocolate from the previous review, and now the Chocolate Sea Salt and Blueberry.

To be honest, I’m unsure which one is my favorite flavor. I don’t often think of a snack like this in terms of “gourmet” taste. My goal and reason for purchasing them is strictly for a fast and easy way to fuel up during a physically demanding retail job. They check that box every single time.
